The McIntyre Building renovation and addition improved the indoor environment and the overall building aesthetic, while creating a distinct address on the College’s Campus. The 2,600sf student commons addition boasts the city’s first active living wall and provides naturally cleaned indoor air from a collection of tropical plants. Renovations to the 60,000sf McIntyre building involved interior classrooms, washroom and corridor, and exterior landscaping and entrance upgrades. This facility won Gold level in the City of Thunder Bay’s Clean Green and Beautiful award in 2011.
