This 7,000sf interpretive centre is located at the Lake Marie Louise Campground, inside the Sleeping Giant Provincial Park. Nestled amongst the trees on a naturally sloping site, extreme care was taken during design and construction to maintain the existing vegetation and landscape. The building materials, design, and exterior landscape together play a role in the interpretive process. The structure of the building is composed of large peeled poplar trees which had been previously harvested on site during the creation of additional visitor camping sites.
