Specialized Sites to Suit Specific Needs
This project improves the functional capabilities of this specialized site and site structures specifically with the goal of aligning the Centre with current Fire Management practices.
Working from a pre-existing feasibility study produced by FormStudio in 2012, the integrated design team has assisted Infrastructure Ontario and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry in the upgrade and expansion of the existing 46,540sf main building and the construction of a new 17,350sf building. FormStudio upgraded the approved blocking and stacking diagrams and functional program to suit the current space needs. Improvement in efficiencies of work and traffic flows plays a large part in creating a high quality work environment for employees.
The project incorporates the following elements:
• Interior renovation, envelope upgrading and addition to the Main Building
• Extensive upgrading of site including servicing, grading, paving and Helipads
• Construction of a new Logistics Specialized Equipment Facility (LSEF Building)
